Last Friday hurricane season officially came to an end. The good news for those of us in Florida…only one tropical storm, with a lot of rain; but otherwise no significant hurricane damage.
If you stocked up on canned goods and supplies back in June in preparation for hurricane season, you should have soup, peanut butter, juice boxes, and other canned food stashed in the cupboard as part of your hurricane supplies. These unused food items purchased in preparation for hurricane season can now be donated to local food banks. What an easy way to help others!
Without spending additional money you can assist those in need. Celebrate your good fortune…another hurricane free season…by donating your stockpile of non-perishable food.
