During his Ward-Highlands years, John dressed as Professor Character once a week for the school’s morning show. Kay, the school’s guidance counselor and a personal friend, developed the Mr. Rogers-like personality Professor Character to teach lessons on manners, common courtesy, respect, patriotism and other guiding principles in a fun way that all the students could relate to.
I’m pleased to say he’s retired this outfit but not these character traits.
