What’s a Mother to Do? Eight Months to Go

My number one job this month…slow down. That may seem crazy, but it’s necessary. As a wedding planner, Emily has six weddings during the months of February and March.  She needs to concentrate on the weddings of her clients. She’s too busy to work on her own wedding. Once April arrives she’ll have more time to plan her own special day.

What can I do to help? Remind her that we have plenty of time to work out the details of her wedding. Keep notes on all of the things she’s shared with me so at the end of the month I’ll be ready to make the ideas reality when she has more time. To be honest, February and March are busy months for me as well. In April and May we’ll both be more relaxed so we can plan her wedding and enjoy the process. So for now, we’ll slow down on the wedding planning. There’s no hurry. The wedding checklist can wait. Eight months is plenty of time. Relax. Don’t make wedding planning stressful.
