Three generations of wine makers?

Last week I received an invitation from Lisa:

Please join me in bottling a very limited
“Iketani- Sweet Cuvee Blanc”
at the
Corkscrew
16 SW Broadway
TOMORROW, Friday, 5:45 pm

No wonder it's so difficult to remove the cork!

This was the first I’d heard of Lisa’s wine making so I decided to join her at The Corkscrew. I didn’t realize that the guests were actually the labor force, but once I arrived we were given instructions on the bottling process and that’s when the fun began. Fortunately, Lisa invited a couple dozen friends because she had 30 bottles of her wine that needed bottling. Of course, she filled our glasses and shared her special “Iketani-Sweet Cuvee Blanc”.

The Corkscrew Winery is a DIY wine making establishment providing the expertise and ingredients to enable anyone to become a wine maker. After the initial step of choosing your own customized blend, the waiting begins. Then four to eight weeks later it’s time to have a little fun with friends tasting and bottling the wine.
